Rise or Fall

Rise or Fall

Jocks, cheerleaders, geeks, punks, goths...
What's your favorite clique from teen movies? In Rise or Fall, play as one of eight groups and try to get the most popularity points by stealing them from your opponents. To do this, secretly choose the card that represents them but watch out for those who defend themselves against your sneak attacks and above all, make sure not to get caught by the principal!

Rise or Fall was originally a game of abstract colors with a board and dice. Although it underwent a change of theme and components, it still retained its essence: a fast game where everyone plays at the same time. You'll love playing it at your next party. Now composed of 8 screens showing the most popular cliques of teen movies, colorful cards and a handful of popularity points, the simplicity is still there. The rules are faithful to the ideology of FoxMind: learnable in less than two minutes. The cards even have an idea from Richard Garfield, designer of Magic: The Gathering. During development, Richard was in Quebec and left his personal touch on the game: a card to let you showcase yourself to earn a point instead of trying to steal points from others. Watch out, this card isn't as simple as it looks. You'll see for yourself the next time you play. In any event, you will remember our friend Richard!

A party game

Although it can be played with 3 players, the phrase "the more the merrier" applies quite well to this game. It is strongly recommended to play with more players. Also, Rise or Fall can be understood by kids of age 7, but is primarily intended for teens and adults who want to have a good time with friends. You'll probably enjoy this more hanging out with your gang of friends than with the kids and grandma. That said, you'll quickly discover who and how many you want to play with.

A movie-game

Yes, Rise or Fall clearly positions itself for the fans of teen movies in a box that recalls a variety of DVDs. The style is there and it remains throughout by repeating comments from two fictitious newspapers on the cover and having lettering in the style of movie credits on the back. No details were spared. Now immerse yourself in the theme and play out the script all the way through to discover the end of your movie. It will always end well... for one of you!

Rise or Fall is an altogether captivating thriller that combines fun, tension and mischief. You'll be left with only one desire: to play again. Now go make a Box Office smash!
